MOXIE
noun. , Slang. courageous spirit and determination; perseverance:
MOXIE seems the right word for this show. The current global situation on many levels requires tremendous MOXIE to get through it all.
This is our 20th year show and we want to bring together many of the things that are part of VIN + OMI. We’re lucky to house this show at the wonderful Kensington Building with the support of Ashby Capital.
MOXIE also shows a nod to our pioneering work with textiles over the last 20 years developing eco textiles and processes that have been passed on for others to develop on a wider scale.
We don’t sell our clothing or our textiles. Our fashion work is just the end journey of our adventures that year. We don’t call ourselves fashion designers, but ideologists. Fashion is our fluff at the end of a serious bit of work. The only magazine cover we have been on is Recycling and Waste World.
We’ve been lucky to work with some fantastic people over the last 20 years and have formed long term relationships with global corporations like NASA, the UN, institutions and high profile individuals like Debbie Harry, King Charles III and Michelle Obama. Looking back it has been a very weird and humbling journey that started with two boys with no plan.
MOXIE will showcase past garments and new garments made from nettles, chestnut, butterbur, cow parsley, mushroom, recycled waste plastic into micro bonded textile, metal fabric from collected cans, recycled milk carton fabric. Each garment has its own eco story.
20 years of shows, over 1000 models, we are here courtesy of the great support from the below companies. Also we are blown away with all the support from our lovely audience and the bus loads of students that support and learn with us.
Among our great models today we have Jo Wood, actress Josie Stevens from LA, London’s happening entrepreneur Naomi Heaton, the modest superstar Eve Ferret and of course Dame Prue Leith as you have never seen her before ….. Please CHEER AND SCREAM whenever you fancy
We thank you all and especially our hotel partner The Other House who has made today’s show happen, Jagermeister, Daler-Rowney and our new partner Philip Martin’s. We are also collaborating with the wonderful jeweller Nicolas Vavassori who is creating magic in Northern Italy

The combined heritage of both companies and the Daler-Rowney name has become synonymous with consistent quality to artists throughout the world. All of their colours have been made in England since 1783.
JÄGERMEISTER
Historically Jägermeister was surrounded by nature in the lower saxton town of Wolfenbuttel. It was Wilhelm Mast's son Curt who took the family business, originally a vinegar factory and wine shop, in a completely different direction. It took him several years to perfect the Jägermeister recipe but soon enough, over 80 years ago the Jägermeister herbal liqueur as we know it today was launched on the German market.
Made from the 56 natural ingredients made from the highest-grade herbs, roots, blossoms and spices from around the globe. Jägermeister is carefully crafted into 4 distinct macerates, then combined in modern-day alchemy into our herbal spirit. The full ingredient list is a closely guarded secret, but raise a glass to your lips and you’ll taste all 4 corners of the world.
As quoted by Jägermeister, the music may change, the clothes may change, but every generation has its irreverent perfectionists. From humble house parties to global gatherings, Jägermeister is still embraced by those who push the boundaries and rewrite the rules in every field. Long may it continue…

THE KENSINGTON BUILDING
At The Kensington Building, AshbyCapital has created an inspiring place to work in one of London’s most sustainable office buildings. A tired and bleak five-storey 1970s former department store has been transformed into a seven-storey mixed-use building providing next-generation office space, demonstrating how buildings can be reused and repurposed, rather than demolished and built anew. By reusing and repurposing more than 60% of the original structure and foundations, 30% less embodied carbon has been created versus industry benchmarks. This has saved 4,500 tonnes of CO2 and resulted in 500 fewer concrete truck journeys and 7,000 fewer tonnes of waste. Of the demolition and excavation waste created, 100% has been diverted from landfill, alongside 99% of construction waste, while 100% of the building’s electricity comes from carbon neutral sources.
ASHBY CAPITAL
Throughout design, construction and occupation our buildings are market leaders in sustainability. Diverting construction waste from landfill, repurposing existing structures, facilitating carbon-zero commuting, generating on-site renewable energy and establishing biodiverse habitats are a handful of the ways that demonstrate our commitment. Our assets include the highest rated BREEAM building in the UK for The JJ Mack Building and the UK’s first Platinum AirRated building for The Future Works in Slough, while at One Bartholomew in London our smart building program saved 70 tonnes of CO2 in 2023.

NICOLAS VAVASSORI
Nicolas Vavassori, is a contemporary jewellery designer and was born in Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy. VIN + OMI have collaborated with him on this show and we are proud to show his wonderful work on our catwalk
From an early age Nicolas was always discovering and creating. Vavassori has a diploma as a master of art and industrial design. “I find myself behind a desk pondering things, at a certain point I question if they are needed… ‘there are more chairs than arses’ as said by Bruno Munari, becomes my flag.” DOGMA is Vavassori’s jewellery collection, and it was born with experimentation, the search for a form, through the most diverse crafts and artistic techniques. Simple, often worthless objects and materials are moulded to become wearable sculptures. Recovered objects, whether industrial waste or worthless natural elements are recontextualised and transformed, creating new visions. Each piece is unique, not reproducible.
